Chad and Ginger knew each other in High School, each doing their own thing. On graduation day, they parted ways each leaving the small town of Arab. Ginger was attending UAB and Chad at Montevallo. Then their paths crossed again one night in a dance club in Birmingham where Chad was working and Ginger dancing, they were twenty-two years old. Chad asked her for her phone number and called her two days later. Ginger checked her answering machine and heard Chad's message and NEVER called him back. What Chad didn't know was Ginger was moving to Baton Rouge LA for clinicals the next day and thought what's the point of even trying to reach out to him. They both lead their adult lives as best they could and raised children along the way. Then twentyish years later they became Facebook friends. Chad found Ginger to be even more beautiful than before. They were both single and Chad thought, she lives in New York what was even the point to trying to reach out to her....

Skip to summer 2023 when Chad was in Beirut Lebanon for a contract. He was stuck in a hotel room in all his downtime, he had no one to talk to and no TV or radio in English. He reached out to old friends to chat with and Ginger soon became his favorite friend to talk to. They talked and text about everything under the sun and figured out they had an uncanny amount of similarities in their lives and the same passions, beliefs, dreams. To the point Chad believed she was lying to him. She also didn't believe that Chad had the hots for her for years, until he convinced her to go back and see all the pictures he had like over the years. Chad came back from overseas and they continued their close friendship. Then they decided to take it to the next level and started flying back and forth to see each other. At some point along the way they fell madly in love. Ginger would tell friends "it would take a miracle to get me to move back to Alabama". She got her miracle, finding her true love at fifty years old. It has been a whirlwind for them both.
